Michelle Schwartz Counseling
I provide a warm and nonjudgmental environment where clients can safely explore feelings and difficulties, obtain new tools and strategies, and overall become more adept at solving problems. My practice is interactive and solution focused while utilizing a combination of psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies.
Payment for Services: I try my best to make my services accessible to clients. I provide care on an out-of-network basis as I believe that this best allows me to provide attentive and personalized care to my clients. I will happily work with you and your insurance carrier to facilitate authorization and reimbursement for services. This includes helping you to understand you insurance plan’s coverage for outpatient mental health benefits.
Areas of Treatment
Grief and Loss
Marital and Family Conflict
Family therapy is designed to address specific issues affecting the health and functioning of a family. I focus on the relationships and interactions between and among individual family members and provide them with the necessary tools to improve communication and restore healthy family functioning.
In addition, working with parents especially those of adolescents whose children have difficulty regulating their behavior and emotions and are often described as "difficult" or "intense" is a passion of mine.
